Privacy Policy

1. Scope and Publisher

This policy applies to software engineered and published by Echo-systems Studio LLC, including Bracket (native code editor) and Relay (local-first AI agent coordination hub). Both applications operate on a strict local-first model where the user retains absolute ownership and sovereignty over their files and computational environment.

2. Information Our Desktop Apps Do Not Collect

Neither Bracket nor Relay collects, transmits, shares, or sells personal data to us or third-party brokers. Specifically:

• No User Accounts: You do not register, create a profile, or log in with an email address or password to use our applications.
• No Analytics or Telemetry: We do not track which features you use, how long you use our apps, your keystrokes, or your session metrics.
• No Advertising SDKs: Our applications contain zero advertising libraries, behavioral profiling trackers, or marketing trackers.
• No Cloud Code Storage: We never receive, inspect, or store your HTML, CSS, JavaScript, project notes, agent briefs, or codebase contents on remote servers.

3. Local File Storage and Security

All operational data resides exclusively on your Mac:

• Bracket Storage: Projects are saved directly into folders you choose or within ~/Library/Application Support/com.echo-systemsstudio.bracket/ as transparent project.bracket.json files.
• Relay Storage: Project databases, agent rosters, component blocks, and activity streams are saved in ~/Library/Application Support/com.echosystems.relay/. Concurrency is guarded by kernel-level flock advisory locks, atomic tempfile renaming, and local .bak backups.
• Cryptographic Digital Keys: Plaintext passkeys in Relay (RLY-XXXXXX-...) are presented to you exactly once upon generation. Relay only stores one-way cryptographic SHA-256 hashes on disk. Plaintext keys can never be recovered from disk.

4. AI Agent Coordination & Protocols (Relay)

Relay operates as a local flight control tower. All communication between autonomous coding agents (such as Claude Code, Cursor, or custom LLM scripts) and Relay occurs strictly over local channels:

• Stdio MCP Bridge: Headless inter-process communication using standard input and output streams. No network sockets are exposed.
• LocalHost HTTP Daemon: Bound exclusively to loopback interface 127.0.0.1:4747. It does not bind to external interfaces and does not accept inbound connections from the public internet.
• Zero Training on User Data: Echo-systems Studio LLC does not train models on your code or agent deliberations, nor do we route agent traffic through proprietary studio proxy servers.

5. Purchases & Mac App Store

Purchases made through the Apple Mac App Store are processed entirely by Apple Inc. Apple handles billing, payment processing, tax withholding, and license distribution in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy. Echo-systems Studio LLC never receives your credit card or financial details.
